How I finally got my beautiful chandelier!
DoorNicole OrriensWhen we left the city to move to the country my husband and I couldn't agree on lots of things. One of them was what kind of lamps we should get. I wanted a beautiful chandelier I wanted beautiful chandeliers. My husband didn't know what he wanted. But one thing he did know: no chandeliers....
Mommy's got you! But who's got mommy?
DoorNicole OrriensWhenever my kids stumble, I like to catch them, and declare in solemn tones: 'I've got you. Mommy's got you!' And I can only hope, that when they've become adults, and they trip and fall on the troublesome path that is life, I'll still be there saying: 'I've got you.' But who's got me? But...
You can look, but please don't touch
DoorNicole OrriensHubby likes to show his love for me, by physical contact. He likes to visit my side of the bed, and then wrench his clammy foot between my warm legs. And if that's not an option, he wants to at least put his hand on my shoulder. Just so I know that he's there. Sweet...

Marital cruelty
DoorNicole Orriens'If you participated in Style by Jury*, they would change a lot about you,' my husband suddenly declared, while spreading his sandwich with a thick layer of peanut butter. 'How's that?' 'Well, look at yourself!' Style by husband 'Perhaps my hair,' I agreed. He nodded enthusiastically. 'And different clothes!' But now his sudden interest in...
Rose arch: two new ones
DoorNicole OrriensI love romantic gardens, with lots of flowers tumbling about. And what's more romantic than a rose arch? Which is why I've been longing for a real rose arch for a long time. My husband built me an... ehm rose arch without the arch Unfortunately my husband decided he would build me one. It was...

Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
