Gehwol!
DoorNicole OrriensAs a mom I do a lot of wringing of the hands. Usually with a wet rag in between. And my poor, delicate hands pay the price, so last week I liberally applied Gehwol, a cream for dry feet. I figured: If it works for feet, it will also work on hands! Afterwards I left...
Don't rock the boat hubby!
DoorNicole OrriensI like to think of our family as a little ship! Everyone has their own place on the ship, and together we sail through life. But then Summer Vacation comes along, shaking things up. The kids have to adjust to the endless free time, and I have to adjust to having absolutely no peace! I...
Father's day
DoorNicole OrriensI'm happy to report I had a happy Mother's Day, thanks to me, myself and I. I devoted precious time to lobbying for good presents, and it paid off. Then came Father's Day, and hubby had not put any effort into the promotion of himself. So the only child who offered him a present was...

You really turn me on
DoorNicole OrriensEven though he no longer walks this earth, Michael Jackson lives on through his music. And unfortunately my kids have discovered his music. Being a Country and Western song kind of gal myself, I find this hard on the ears. Hmhm, you really turn me on, hmhm Unfortunately Michael's songs are quite catchy, and now...

Are you scared?
DoorNicole OrriensTo fan the smoldering embers of our relationship, my husband and I like to pretend we're going to the movies. Of course we don't really go, because that would mean hiring a babysitter, but every Saturday night we stretch out on the couch armed with big bags of chips. Watching Paranormal Activity with my husband...
My own psycho shower scene
DoorNicole OrriensIt was early morning. I was in the shower enjoying some quiet time. Feeling the warm water cascading down my body, cherishing the feeling of being alone. No one else around. Then suddenly I heard that telltale sound of a door opening, followed by an icy cold swish of air. Then: 'Hiiiiiii honey. Are you...

Awww, sounds like a lovely photo. Don't be saddened by her comment, martial relationships change as children come along. The love is strong, dutiful and romantic but not as young love. I believe children know can see love and know it, in all its forms :0)
I agree that relationships change but it still can be strong and romantic if we work at it.
At least the two of you are still the topics of her artwork. Not only that, but when she thinks of you, the fist image which comes to mind is a pleasant one. Whenever my wife and I go out for an evening (ummm...right in 2009), we are very straightforward about telling the kids we need some time not being parents. A popcorn and a movie seems to cure them of heartsickness pretty quickly:)
Thanks Kenny. That's a lovely way of looking at it.
Kids are so funny! Wonder what her picture would like if she drew you now? Hehehe
That sounds ominous Becky Jane. Now you've got me worried!
