How do you dress your baby?
When I first became a mom I liked to dress my baby in 'real' clothes. So I put my baby girl in little dresses, and when I had a boy I dressed him in little trousers with suspenders.
But when I had my youngest son, eight years after I had my first child, I dressed him in real baby clothes like rompers. I suppose that by then I had realized the truth behind the saying: 'They grow up so fast!' and I wanted to cherish his babyness. I suppose this is just one of the many examples of how motherhood changes you!
But what hásn't changed is my dislike for doing the ironing! In fact right now, I don't even own an iron anymore… After taking the clean laundry out of the washing machine I immediately put iy on a hanger to dry, and that's good enough for me! Apparently I am not the only one who likes clothes to be low maintenance, because so does Ruth, mother of five kids.
She founded Love it, Love it, Love it, a clothing store with clothes you're not afraid of to use, and that stay pretty no matter what your kids do with them!
How did, or do yóú dress your baby? In replicas of grown up clothes, or do you go for the baby-ish look?
I have been given so many hand me downs, I kinda just go with what I've been given. I love the "baby" stuff, but sometimes the grown up suites and sweaters or hats are just too adorable to pass up.
