Going grey: 1 year!
In July 2022 I started considering to stop dyeing my hair.
But I wasn't altogether sure if I would
Then the unthinkable happened.
I lost my daughter Lucy.
And suddenly going grey felt like a beautiful way to mark the before and after in my life.

I hear you. Last year was my going gray year too. I love that I'm embracing it and I think it looks lovely on both of us.
Thanks so much for sharing this with Sweet Tea & Friends this month dear friend.
Your going grey story is very heart-wrenching, but beautiful at the same time. I started my going grey journey about 5 years ago, and am loving it! I get tons of compliments on my hair from both young and old!
First of all I want to say I am so sorry to hear you lost your Daughter last year.....but neat that it was representative of your life before and after......
I went gray about 5-6 years ago myself, and have fully embraced it, as I thought I am a Grandmother
shouldn't I look like one.....and I am fine with being called Grammy or Grandmother as well. I remember joking with a friend that was talking about watching her Grandchildren and even tho she loved every minute of it......too many days were getting the best of her energy levels.....and she wondered why her adult children didn't get that and I said you know what.....we have to quit coloring our hair cause they don't know how old we really are.......lol
but then I got thinking about that and how true it is.....so since there were lots of younger women
dying their hair silver, I thought now is the perfect time to do it............so I did, and have never looked back or regretted it............and it is much easier and think it looks good on us.
According to Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor!
