... having lots of energy cords. I've been reading the book Energy Strands written by Denise Linn. It got me thinking, and then inspired me to make this picture. I feel live I'm always connected by invisible strands with my children. Even when they're not around. Or may, sometimes especially when they're not around.

I didn't know it at the time, but when my kids were little I practiced horizontal parenting! A lot. Horizontal parenting I was just so tired. So, I let the kids play hairstylist or doctor. So I could just lie there while they checked my heart with a stethoscope and gave me many vaccinations. ...

Even though I've been a mom for almost thirty years now, I still fear the day someone comes up to me and exposes me as a fraud. I often feel like an actress in a very bad B-movie. The kind that doesn't even make it to the movie theater, but is released onto dvd immediately....
What starts out as yet another mom video parody, featuring all the controversial issues surrounding modern parenthood, changes into a touching little movie that shows: In the end, we're all in this together.
