What to wear to my sister's wedding?
My youngest sister is getting married in May. My other sister and me will be her maids of honor.
Red jersey dress with polkadots not fancy enough?
So now I have to figure out what I'm going to wear. I don't want to spend a lot of money. So I bought myself this red jersey dress with white polkadots. The price was certainly right: 29.95.
But now everyone keeps telling me it's not fancy enough. And I think they're probably right.
Look, here it is:
At the wedding I would ditch the boots of course |

So it's back to the drawing board! I need to find myself a nice, suitable for my sister's wedding.
But I don't want to spend a lot of money, I don't like jewelry and I want to be comfortable. So I'm thinking something like this:
Suggestions and tips are very welcome! I could use some help.

You sound like me! It has to be comfortable, affordable and the fact I WILL wear it again. Weddings, always trip me up. The black (it looks black here) dress, I believe that is your pick! Can't ever go wrong with black. You can dress it up or put a pretty pair of shoes with it . Boots acceptable only if it is an outdoor barn wedding (they exist). Although you look great in the red dress. Save it for the rehearsal dinner! Thanks for sharing at Party at My Place. Send pictures after you decide.
The black dress is cute, although it's in May...maybe the same style but a springy print or color?
I am terrible at fashion. My sister is much better at it than I am. If I had to choose a dress for her wedding, I'd probably ask her advice. haha!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Michelle! I think you're right about the dark blue dress: it's probably the best choice. But it's so plain and boring!
