Changing the curtains: who needs a ladder?!

Who needs a ladder when you've got a Chesterfield couch and a windowsill!

Scary times: finding solace in domestic tasks

These are scary times. The coronavirus is wreaking havoc in the world. Apart from keeping our distance from each other, and trying to stay healthy there's not all that much you can do.

Some things are out of our hands.

There are things that do lie within our control

Luckily there are things we cán control.

Like our household.

Especially during trying times I find myself comforted by routine tasks, and by making sure our home is comfortable. For me, but also for my family. I want to make sure they have a safe place to come back to. Where the toilet seats are clean, and dinner is on the table every day.

It may seem like small stuff, but I believe it really makes a difference.

Which is why I took the time to change the curtains.

There go the Winter curtains

And here come the Summer curtains!

Sure, changing curtains won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things, but it's just one of those things you cán do. It's a way of creating a home.

Because even though humankind has kind of come to a standstill for now, nature blossoms.

  1. Hi Nicole,
I so agree with you.....I think changing things up in our home gives us something new and fresh to look at, and lifts our spirits....at least that's what it does for me and my family too.
Also those routine things like dinner on the table and a clean home, gives everyone a sense
of stability and order and a feeling of all is right with the world. Little is much when
    God is in it.......I say.
Praying you and yours stay healthy and happy during this time.
    Blessings,
    Nellie
